Deadstock Magazine

Publication/Editorial design

The objective

To design a magazine based on a certain theme/subject. Sections include cover page, contents, preview section, feature article and review section.

The solution

The theme for the magazine was streetwear hence the cover and main article feature sneakers. The look and feel of the magazine were one of clean and minimal as well as allowing plenty of white space to let the imagery and type have impact to the reader.

Body Torque

Print/Advertising

The objective

To create a fold out pamphlet for the Australian Ballet body torque theatre program.

The solution

The pamphlet restrictions were that the colour was restricted to two colours only. My design approach was to develop a design style that incorporated an angled design and grid structure. Elements of the design were pushed over multiple pages to create connectivity between pages.

Antidote promo video

Motion graphics

The objective

To produce a 20 second video advertising the antidote conference which is held at the Sydney opera house.

The solution

The thinking behind the design for the video was to use mostly typography and minimal imagery through icons to get the message across about the conference. Adding the colour red to certain letters highlights important words that push the message that the conference is about.

Ice cube album cover

Illustration/Packaging design

The objective

To create an album cover using mixed media for an artist of your choosing. Initial design to be done using pens then finalized in digital.

The solution

By using a black and white photo of Ice Cube as a reference an illustration was created using different design rendering techniques to re create the portrait. Once the drawing was finalized the image was scanned digitally then edited to add other element required for the final packaging.
