Olya Vanzidler

I grew up in a small town near the Ural Mountains and have since lived across Russia, Germany, Ireland and Australia. My work explores belonging, identity and the strange ways people connect through culture, humour and shared experiences. Drawing inspiration from underground culture, DIY scene and punk aesthetics, I am particularly drawn to typography, editorial design and collage. With a background in comedy, I love creating work that surprises, provokes and occasionally lands like a punch in the gut.

Shite Faced Brewery

Branding × Packaging × Art Direction

Shite Faced is built around the idea that everyone has a little shite in their head. Inspired by Irish pub culture, weird thoughts and social connections, the brand uses humour and collage to create a world where sober drinking feels just as social, messy and fun.

SchweinWolf Book

Illustration

A contemporary adaptation of Aesop’s The Wolves and the Sheep, this artist’s book brings together three distinct visual worlds: realistic photo-collage dogs, naive crayon sheep, and dark printmaking wolves. Through the collision of these worlds, the story explores trust, deception, and the consequences of abandoning one’s loyalty.

xEDGEx Magazine

Publication

There are plenty of magazines telling people what to think. xEDGEx was created to remind people who they are. Built from collage, typography, and stories from the straight edge culture, it explores belonging, reinvention, and the stubborn refusal to grow predictable.
