As a designer, my practice aims to combine analytical concepts, innovative techniques and visually pleasing storytelling. My passion lies in pushing boundaries in visual communication to ultimately disrupt and improve how people interact with the world.
The intended purpose of this zine is described in the first page, it is a deep and honest reflection and collection of my thoughts surrounding sustainability and the systems we live in which inhibit it. It's been an expressive culmination of all my years studying design but also environmental policy. As the zine concluded with, creating and entangling activism in our art is the most important and direct form of change we can bring about. This zine will hopefully disrupt the normal, dismissive thought patterns surrounding sustainability (often tuning sustainability out or dismissing its relevance).
Waterpot is a new business yet to be launched to the public. It is founded upon the Director's desire for an easier way to be healthy in your daily habits and a desire to in general drink more water, which he and lots of other people forget to do. As a new business, Waterpot needed a complete visual identity which appeals to first time users, encompasses the brand's goals of health and stands out in the Sydney marketplace. This identity will specifically be seen on online platforms and digital spaces and has been established as a friendly brand which is not bossy or nagging but helpful and fun.
Using the transcripts from 3 TED talks, this project explores my interest concerning the anxiety and possiblity of AI- in design but also in our society. The talk featured asks the question, once we build AI, how do we ensure we remain in control. If the evolution of intelligence can only logically progress, how do humans not become redundant? Using two contrasting typefaces as well as 3D modeled chains, this type piece is aimed at understanding our 'undetermined futures'.
With the rise of Asian cinema and its popularity on Western screens, MIRU aims to bring films from all over Asia to a western audience. It will be a bold and dynamic streaming service which will push boundaries for what is shown on screens. Our colours have be selected to represent the core values of MIRU. Boldness, avantgarde and contemporary feelings are all embodied in these colour choices. The catchphrases and language of MIRU are designed to create curiosity, FOMO and excitement in potential customers. MIRU is all about introducing unknown cinematic pieces to their audience. So lets get past that "one inch barrier" at the bottom of our screens, and access another world of great cinema.
