More than anything, curiosity drives my creativity. The potential to create something not yet seen excites and inspires me. As an artist, I use my illustrative flair to enhance my designs and make graphic design fun and engaging to touch and see.
Creative individuals all use their powerful minds to create things that are important to them, but endeavour with the fear of failure. What we see as a beautiful piece of work, they see as months of tumultuous struggle. In this brief, I was tasked to visualise TEDTalks with a theme that resonates with me. With their performances so striking, I used colour to compliment the emotion felt as I listened to them. This visualisation comes through as a coffee table book - something to capture attention and occupy free time.
In the mid nineties, two brothers decided to embark on a passionate journey of crafting the most authentic Italian gelato. For the past thirty years, they have been cherished by their local community, but want to venture further into the competitive market. Keeping it fun and youthful but with a deco tone, and keeping to the traditions of the family run business, my reimagination of Pure Gelato has been extended to gelato tubs, cannoli boxes and a website refresh.
The National Institute of Dramatic Arts has been an iconic institution for decades, with some alumni now Hollywood names. The only thing lacking from their range of opportunities is a place for the talent of students to shine. NIDA required a brand refresh and a showbook for their theatre extension. For the logos, I played with ambiguous shapes that mould and change, much like how actors must mould themselves for different roles. The showbook is bright and in-your-face, meant to excite visitors as well as evoke the mood of each play advertised. This was achieved through colour and illustration.
Over a quarter of waste found in pubs is greywater and chemical, with that being nearly impossible to avoid. Terrene is the most efficient solution, by creating a dry universal cleaner they have proven to decrease wastage and keep waterways cleaner. They required a sustainable solution for packaging as well as a developed advertising campaign for businesses. Using minimal inks for labels and sustainable yet realistic materials for packaging, many pubs in greater Sydney have preferred using their product over liquid chemicals. The tactical advertising is quick to read and understand, and easy to navigate to websites/purchasing products.
